At NuWave Sensor Technology Ltd (“NuWave,” “we,” “our,” and/or “us”), your privacy is very important to us and we take protecting it very seriously. This Privacy Policy is designed to explain how we collect, use, and disclose information about you on our websites (“the Site”), including www.nuwavesensors.com and www.cairsensors.com, https://gateway.nuwavesensordata.com/, our mobile applications (“the App”), API’s and any associated services (collectively, our “Services”). This policy also explains your choices about how we use information about you and the data collected from products we provide.  Your choices include how you can access and update information about you.
Your use of our Services is also subject to our Terms of Use. By using our Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, do not access or use our Services.

Information you provide us:

We collect information about you when you provide it directly to us or input it into our software applications or services.

When you create an account:

When you create an account on our Services, we may collect your name, mailing address, physical address, phone number, email address, and password. You can also have the option to upload a photo or job title and other profile information. Your account can also have personalised settings which are stored.

When you make a purchase or request a quote:

If you make a purchase or request a quote for our Services on our Site or in person, we collect information from you to facilitate the transaction. This information may include your name, mailing address, physical address, phone number, email address, and information about your purchase or quote.

When you make a purchase, we ask you to provide payment information to our payment processor, which may include payment card information (such as credit card number, type, and expiration date), bank account information, billing address, and shipping address. We do not store this payment information. We store your shipping address to process and ship your order. Our third-party payment processors may retain this information in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms.

When or if you contact us:

If you contact us in person, by phone, email, social media, or by some other means, we may keep a record of your contact information and the communication for later reference.

Content you provide through our websites:

The Services also include our websites owned or operated by us. We collect other content that you submit to these websites, which include social media or social networking websites operated by us. For example, you provide content to us when you provide feedback or when you participate in any interactive features, surveys, contests, promotions, sweepstakes, activities or events.  If you contact us in person, by phone, email, social media, or by some other means, we may keep a record of your contact information and the communication for later reference.

Information from Third Party Services:

If you connect with us through our Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn social media accounts we may receive information like your name, profile picture, age range, language, email address, and friend list. You can stop sharing information with us by removing our access to that other service.

Information we collect from your use of our Services:

Device Information

We receive information from devices you connect to or use for our Services, including your mobile device, connected devices, and wired and wireless sensors. The information we receive from these devices includes environmental parameters such as temperature and humidity and light level as well as air quality sensor data, IP address, unique device identifiers such as MAC address, sensor and activity information, battery status, and Wi-Fi network information.

Location Information

We receive location information from devices you connect to or use for our Services, including your mobile device, connected devices, and wired and wireless sensors, such as through the use of geolocation features in the devices, or by inference from other information we collect (for example, your IP address may indicate the general geographic region from which you are connecting to the Internet).
We use location information to provide time and date related information to you in order to accurately view data within our Services.
Web logs and usage information. We record certain information and store it in log files when you interact with our Services. This information may include device and browser information, IP address, URLs of referring/exit pages, and search terms.

Cookies and other technologies

We and our service providers collect information through the use of “cookies” and similar technologies to understand how you use our Services, for authentication, operations, marketing, and advertising purposes, to save your preferences, and for analytics purposes. Cookies are small text files that web servers place on your device; they are designed to store basic information and to help websites and apps recognize your browser. We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A session cookie disappears after you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be accessed every time you use our Services. You should consult your web browser to modify your cookie settings. Please note that if you delete or choose not to accept cookies from us, you may be missing out on certain features of our Services.

Usage Information

When you use our services, we receive usage data and statistics about how you use these services – this includes information about how you interact with our services – for example how often you access software applications, which features you use and when you last logged into your account and the hardware ID’s of sensors connected to your account.

Information we collect from third parties:

Third Party Devices. In some cases, devices and products from third parties may connect to our Services, and the third parties may send us information about the use of those devices, including sensor and activity data. The information we receive from these third parties is governed by the third parties’ privacy policies, and; you should review these third parties’ privacy policies to learn about their privacy and data security practices.

Health data we collect:

Some of our Services provide features which rely on health data which you input into the service. For example, the logging of asthma and/or allergy triggers data which you input into the service. This data is used to provide asthma and/or allergy trigger tracking and air quality management recommendations personalised to you.
The collection of health data is subject to European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) legislation so we ask you for explicit consent to process this data within our services. You can give consent to the collection of this data from within the Service where you have the opportunity to opt in to the collection of this data for the purposes of health tracking. If you do not opt in to this service this feature(s) will not be available to you. If you do opt in you can also withdraw your consent in the account settings at any time or by deleting your account.

How We Use Your Information

We may use the information we collect to:
•    provide, personalize, and improve our Services – for example for developing new features and Services, troubleshooting errors and analysing data.
Where you allow location data to be collected we use that data to optimise the display of accurate time stamps on graphs and other time-related data that is presented.
•    communicate with you, either directly or through one of our service providers, including to respond to your comments or support questions. We also contact you to provide service notifications or alerts which you may have enabled. You can control alert notifications in your Alert Settings. Some service notifications are required in order for you to use the service.
•    Fulfil our obligations under our Terms of Service contract with you including securely processing payments and safely and securely processing your data.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell our users’ private personal information.
We share information about you in the limited circumstances spelled out below and with appropriate safeguards on your privacy:
•    Subsidiaries, Employees, and Independent Contractors: We may disclose information about you to our subsidiaries, our employees, and individuals who are our independent contractors that need to know the information in order to help us provide our Services or to process the information on our behalf. We require our subsidiaries, employees, and independent contractors to follow this Privacy Policy for personal information that we share with them.
•    Third Party Vendors: We may share information about you with third party vendors who need to know information about you in order to provide their services to us. This group includes vendors that help us provide our Services to you (like payment providers that process your credit and debit card information) and those that help us understand and enhance our Services (like analytics providers). We require vendors to agree to privacy commitments in order to share information with them.
•    As Required by Law: Where disclosure is required or appropriate in order to comply with laws, regulations, legal process, or a governmental request;
•    To Protect Rights and Property: If we think doing so is necessary to protect the rights, property, security, or safety of us, our Services, our users, or the public;
•    Business Transfers: In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company, or in the unlikely event that NuWave goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would likely be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. If any of these events were to happen, this Privacy Policy would continue to apply to your information and the party receiving your information may continue to use your information, but only consistent with this Privacy Policy.
•    With Your Consent: We may share and disclose information with your consent or at your direction. For example, we may share your information with third parties with which you authorize us to do.
•    Aggregated and De-Identified Information: We may share information that has been aggregated or reasonably de-identified, so that the information could not reasonably be used to identify you. For instance, we may publish aggregate statistics about the use of our Services.

Choices You Have with Your Information

Account and Purchase Information. You can update your account information through your account settings on the Site or App or by contacting us as set out under “Contact Us” below. You can also update your purchase information by contacting us as set out under “Contact Us” below.

Accessing and Exporting Data

Once you are logged into your account you can view sensor data information collected by that service on the application dashboard. The application also provides a way for you to download information by sending a link to data to your account e-mail address. This data file provides the sensor data collected by your device(s). You can also update your purchase information by contacting us as set out under “Contact Us” below.

Editing and Deleting Data

Our services provides account settings where you can edit and update certain details about your profile information or delete your account completely if required. You can also request updates to your profile information by contacting us as set out under “Contact Us” below.
If you choose to delete your account it may take up to 30 days to delete all of your information such as data stored in our backup systems which are used for safely storing and protecting your data.

Objecting to Data Use

We give you controls of how your data is used from within the Service Settings. You can disable alert notifications from our Service or limit when you receive these notifications. You can also revoke access to certain features as described in the Health Data section. You can unsubscribe from any promotional emails via the unsubscribe link provided in the emails. Please note that you will continue to receive administrative messages from us even if you opt out of receiving promotional messages.

Data Retention

We retain information used to set up your account such as your username, e-mail address and other account information while your account is in existence in order to provide the service to you. We delete certain data after it is no longer needed for the Service. When you delete your account, we delete all information related to the collection of data from our sensors. We keep information about you and your use of the Services for as long as necessary for the purposes of providing ongoing or repeat business.

Our Children’s Policy

NuWave does not allow children under the age of 16 to set up an account or use our Services and when an account is created we ask you to confirm that you are at least 16 years old. Parents and guardians who believe that their child has created an account using our service can contact us to have it deleted by contacting us at privacy@dev.nuwavesensors.com

Links to Third Parties Services

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third party websites that we do not own or control, even if you access them through our Services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites. We encourage you to carefully review these sites’ privacy policies so that you know how they will collect, use, and share your information.
Security
We use a variety of administrative, technical, and physical controls to help protect your information. Unfortunately, even though we take measures to protect your information, no security measure can be 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information. If you are concerned about a security issue please contact our customer support.

International Users

If you are visiting our Services from a country outside of Ireland, please note that you are agreeing to the transfer and processing of your information to Ireland. By providing your information to us, you consent to any transfer and processing in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you wish to withdraw your consent to this you can delete your account from the account settings section of the Service.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do revise this Privacy Policy, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this Privacy Policy. In the event that the changes materially alter your rights or obligations under this Privacy Policy, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of the change. For example, we may send a message to your email address, if we have one on file, or generate a pop-up or similar notification when you access our Services for the first time after such material changes are made. Your continued use of our Services constitutes your acceptance of the terms of the Privacy Policy as amended or revised by us from time to time.
